Alan Faneca is an American former professional football player who was a guard in the NFL for 13 seasons. He played professionally for the Pittsburgh Steelers, New York Jets, and Arizona Cardinals of NFL. He was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2021.
Originally from New Orleans, Louisiana, Alan Joseph Faneca was born on 7 December 1976, making him a Saggitarius. The 44-year-old former NFL player is American by nationality and belongs to the Caucasian ethnicity. He attended John Curtis Christian School from 1987-1990. He then attended Lamar Consolidated High School and Louisiana State University.

Faneca played for the LSU Tigers football team from 1994 to 1997. He was drafted in the first round of the 1998 NFL Draft by the Pittsburgh Steelers. He had his best season in 2000 when he was named a starter in the 2002 Pro Bowl.
On 1 March 2008, the New York Jets signed Faneca to a five-year contract. In 2009, he anchored the Jets to 2756 yards and 21 touchdowns. He was cut from the Jets on 24 April 2010 and joined Arizona Cardinals on a one-year contract.
Faneca retired from football on 10 May 2011, ending his career with nine Pro Bowl appearances, eight All-Pro selections, and a Super Bowl ring. In 2021, he was named head coach of football at Cox High School in Virginia Beach. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame on 6 February 2021.
