But, today, we are talking about AMD’s one creator, Lisa Su.  She is an American business executive and electrical engineer who is president and Chief executive officer of Advanced Micro Devices (AMD). She is also known for developing silicon-on-insulator semiconductor manufacturing technologies and more efficient semiconductor chips.

Lisa began her career at Texas Instruments as a member of the technical staff in June 1994. There, she worked in Semiconductor Process and Device Centre. In 1995, she got hired as a research staff member by IBM. Eventually, she became the vice president of IBM’s semiconductor research and development centre and launched copper technology in 1998.

With that, Lisa got the chance to work as a technical assistant under Lou Gerstner. While working at IBM, she was the founder of IBM’s Emerging Product Division, where she hired employees to focus on their upcoming products. Their first product was a microprocessor, which moto was to help increase the battery life of the phone. From 2007 to 2011, Lisa worked for Freescale Semiconductor as Chief technology officer and senior vice president.
