Geoff Hart had been a familiar face at WYFF 4 as he has been part of the station as an anchor for almost three decades. Geoff is married to his beautiful wife, Sara Hart. The couple met in the 1990s when he was working as a sports director and Sara was working as a commercial producer at WYFF.

Geoff Hart’s announcement of his diagnosis at a relatively young age took many by surprise. The WYFF 4 President quickly shared a statement writing,
“The WYFF 4 family is heartbroken by the news,”
“Geoff is a part of our family, and we love him. We will continue to support him as he leaves to focus on his health and spend time with his family.”
The longtime WYFF co-anchor and his wife appeared on TV to share the diagnosis.
“People will say why did you get it. Well, why didn’t I? People get it. Okay, so? In a way, I have an opportunity knowing where it’s coming, and it’s not going to be good so let’s really make sure that we get the best.”, he shared.
The WYFF 4 news director also shared a statement on the subject writing,
“Geoff is beloved by his co-workers and the viewers who have watched him throughout his 28-year career in the Upstate.
“He is a wonderful, caring journalist and has been a mentor and friend to so many in the newsroom.
“We will stand by his side now and in the years to come as he faces this fight.”
During the interview, Geoff grew emotional and shared he wants to live for his family.
“It’s my family, you know. I want to live as long as I can so I can get my children to where they need to be.”
One daughter is 13. “I’ve got to get her to college”.

Geoff was born to his parents, Charlie and Barbara. His family raised him in England alongside his four brothers. Geoff’s father passed away in 2008.
